Attorney Zhou is an insightful lawyer with a steady yet flexible style. He values communication with clients and can precisely grasp the pain points of cases, thereby formulating customized and powerful legal solutions for clients. Before co-founding ALIOTH LAW LLP in the United States, Attorney Zhou worked at the Hong Kong office of Linklaters LLP, one of the top Magic Circle law firms in the UK, and in the Investment Banking Division of Morgan Stanley, a top Wall Street investment bank, in Hong Kong. He has been deeply involved in numerous capital market transactions and has profound industry experience and understanding of listing, mergers and acquisitions, and equity transaction-related businesses.

Attorney Zhou never shies away from new challenges and is always eager to hone his skills in areas where clients have pressing needs. After leaving Morgan Stanley, Attorney Zhou keenly perceived the frequent intellectual property litigation issues in cross-border transactions and quickly established his expertise in this field. He has represented dozens of cross-border e-commerce enterprises in dealing with litigation and fund freezing issues they face in federal courts such as the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. In these litigations, Attorney Zhou excels at employing the flexible business thinking and negotiation skills honed during his investment banking career, combined with his outstanding legal writing abilities, to achieve the maximum interests of his clients. To date, the typical cases Attorney Zhou has concluded include:

23-cv-16563 Cozy Comfort Company LLC v. Schedule A (Negotiated a $1,500 settlement for the client when nearly $40,000 was frozen)
24-cv-00172 Tesla Inc, Inc. v. Schedule A (Tesla trademark infringement case, negotiated a settlement condition of $1,500 to restore the listing link for the client, and explicitly specified the right of fair use in the future in the settlement agreement)
24-cv-00379 Jodicke v. Schedule A (Copyright infringement case, high amount frozen, settled for $2,000)
24-cv-01793 Converse Inc. v. Schedule A (Converse trademark infringement case, over $60,000 frozen, with actual sales. Despite extremely unfavorable case facts, negotiated a $25,000 settlement for the client)
24-cv-02299 Nike Inc. v. Schedule A (Nike trademark infringement case, about $50,000 frozen, unfavorable case facts, settled for $15,000 after multiple rounds of negotiations)
24-cv-03727 Converse Inc. v. Schedule A (Another Converse trademark infringement case, quickly concluded with a $15,000 settlement meeting the client's psychological expectations)
24-cv-04203 Khara v. Schedule A (Neon Genesis Evangelion merchandise trademark infringement case, favorable case facts, quickly settled for $1,000 with over $60,000 frozen)

Attorney Zhou obtained his Bachelor of Laws degree from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics; in 2018, he obtained a Master of Laws degree in Common Law (LL.M. in Common Law) from the Chinese University of Hong Kong; in 2020, he obtained a Master of Laws degree (LL.M.) from the University of California, Berkeley.
