Huicheng Zhou is the founding partner of Alioth Law. He is admitted to practice in California and before multiple U.S. federal district courts, with a focus on intellectual property litigation and cross-border disputes.

Prior to founding Alioth Law, Mr. Zhou built his career across leading international law firms and investment banks. He practiced at Linklaters' Hong Kong office, where he played an integral role in HKEX IPOs including China Feihe (6186.HK) and Rizhao Port Jurong (6117.HK). He subsequently joined Morgan Stanley's Hong Kong investment banking division, overseeing compliance risk management and regulatory communications. This dual experience equips him with both deep legal expertise and sharp commercial acumen.

In 2024, he established Alioth Law in Los Angeles to address the growing U.S. legal needs of Chinese cross-border businesses. He has since represented nearly one hundred Chinese enterprises and individuals in U.S. federal court litigation and proceedings, handling patent, trademark, trade secret, and e-commerce platform compliance matters. He is known for securing optimal outcomes through the integration of business strategy and litigation tactics.

ATTORNEY

Huicheng Zhou

Terence possesses a multidisciplinary background spanning business, accounting, and finance. This integrated expertise enables him to approach legal issues and devise solutions with distinctive and innovative perspectives. He has experience in a range of complex matters, including private equity financings, mergers and acquisitions, and intellectual property litigation.

His professional experience across multiple jurisdictions has further cultivated a deep commitment to diversity and inclusiveness. He understands diversity not merely in terms of visible differences, but as a broader imperative to recognize each individual’s place within a community and to incorporate varied viewpoints. Through his cross-cultural practice, Terence has developed the ability to actively listen to and impartially understand perspectives shaped by diverse backgrounds and beliefs.

ATTORNEY

Terence Hao

Attorney Ke is a California-licensed attorney and PRC-qualified lawyer with a solid background in cross-border legal and compliance work. Her practice focuses on intellectual property, international commercial transactions, and regulatory compliance for Chinese enterprises expanding into overseas markets.

Before joining her current firm, Attorney Ke served as in-house legal manager for a leading Chinese telecommunications group in the Middle East, where she was responsible for contract negotiation, license compliance, and cross-border business operations. Through this role, she gained first-hand experience in managing outbound investment projects, data compliance matters, and regulatory engagement — particularly in complex jurisdictions such as the Gulf region and the European Union.
Her recent work also includes advising clients on trademark registration and enforcement, SaaS and technology service agreements, data privacy compliance (including GDPR. Combining legal expertise from both the PRC and U.S. systems, Attorney Ke provides practical, business-oriented counsel to technology-driven companies operating globally.

Attorney Ke holds a Master of Common Law degree from The University of Hong Kong and is fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.

ATTORNEY

Carmen Ke

Attorney ZHANG is a dynamic and commercially-minded attorney with substantial experience in capital markets and financial law. She is valued by clients for her strong collaborative skills and her ability to grasp complex business imperatives, enabling her to devise pragmatic and effective legal strategies.

Prior to joining ALIOTH LAW LLP, Attorney ZHANG built a robust practice representing clients in sophisticated financial transactions. She began her career at the Guangzhou office of Fangda Partners, where she focused on banking and finance law, developing particular expertise in ship and aircraft finance leasing, and syndicated loans. Subsequently, at Jiangsu Junjin Law Firm, Attorney ZHANG took on a leading role in U.S. IPO projects. Acting as a primary outside counsel, she was responsible for independently managing transactions and maintaining high-frequency communication with clients, ensuring seamless execution from preparation to listing. Attorney ZHANG is a quick learner who thrives on challenge and brings vigorous energy to her practice. She has cultivated a unique skill set that bridges the depth of financial legal work with the strategic demands of capital markets transactions.

Attorney ZHANG obtained her Bachelor of Laws degree from Jilin University School of Law in 2020. She later earned a Master of Laws degree (LL.M.) from the University of California, Berkeley in 2022.

Attorney ZHANG is licensed to practice law in the State of New York, USA.

Sylvie Zhang

Attorney Yuan is a lawyer with a calm and professional approach. She values clear communication with clients and focuses on identifying the key legal and commercial issues in each case to provide practical and effective solutions. Attorney Yuan has experience in cross-border investments and U.S. litigation.

In her cross-border investments practice, Attorney Yuan advises enterprises on outbound investments, providing guidance on legal structures and transactional matters. Her understanding of cross-border legal frameworks and foreign regulations allows her to deliver practical and business-oriented legal advice. In U.S. litigation, Attorney Yuan has been involved in civil cases and intellectual property disputes for cross-border e-commerce enterprises.

Attorney Yuan obtained her Bachelor of Laws degree from Wuhan University and later earned a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree from the University of California, Berkeley.

Attorney Yuan is licensed to practice law in the state of New York, USA.
